As has been demonstrated time and time again, in a plethora of threads on the subject of driving in the left lane, there are those who believe that if they're doing the speed limit...they shouldn't have to move over.
Never mind that the law/signs says 'SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT.'
And yes, that means you who is doing the speed limit (or more) in the left lane...but have cars stacked up behind you.
While there are definitely those who are oblivious to the traffic backing up behind them (often because they're on their phone or texting), I personally believe there are a large number that know exactly what they're doing and get a thrill out of 'controlling' the speed by pacing the vehicle in the right lane...and thereby keeping anyone from passing them.
This type of passive-aggressive behavior, is a big cause of the road rage from the real nutcases out there.
So for you that think it's funny to have vehicles stack up behind you by doing the speed limit in the left lane, think about that one person who is on the edge to start with...and is carrying a firearm.
Is playing cop...really worth the potential incident?
