Father's Day (and Mother's Day, too) was never all that much observed in my family. But, I am so happy to report that

My younger called from Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, early this morning, where she and her husband (of nearly ten years) are vacationing in their favorite place in the world.

My older daughter called from Milford, Michigan (reasonably near Detroit), later, where she and her husband (of barely nine months) are frankly on a "death watch," as his mother is very, very near death.

I was very touched by both calls, as it is unusual! I guess that, over the years, one's values does seep into the kids! :joke:
