They hate that they can never be like us. They can never create a blossoming civilization, a self sustaining culture. They hate that we're smarter, have more self control, can plan and put off present gratification for a better future. Just like the "cool kids" mocked the now movers and shakers in high school...they mock us to make themselves feel better.
