WE MAY NOT ALL BE BORN EQUAL BUT WE ARE ALL BORN VALUABLE.
Any second you could have something heavy fall on you or run into you and be disabled physically and mentally but should you be dismissed? You are still a person and you are human and you have feelings and a strong desire to live and I believe the laws of the universe demand that the rest of us who are unharmed should care what happens to you and not leave you to die or be in pain.
I know this because it is instinctive on some level. When we don't protect ONE of us, we are all in danger.
I think that some of us are born with less feelings of responsibility for others and some are born true sociopaths without conscience or moral compass. Those people still have value and our laws and our society need to see that they are protected from the harm they would inflict on others.
I think I know this only because I was born human. Just human. Not because I was born white, woman, American, healthy.
Just human.
It is unfair, unkind, unjust, and inhuman to not treat all people with equal care. That is how I believe. I only know how to be who I am. I find this world increasingly worrisome. Encouraging lack of respect and hatred for others is not going to help any of us. AND it will not help you.
