I don't recall anyone rioting, burning down buildings or threatening to kill President Obama's supporters in either 2008 or 2012.

I would think that most reasonable liberals would be embarrassed by these people and denounce this behavior.
WOW....you know the election is over, right ? No need to pick apart a post to make a point. I ask you to read the part about "growing up" .

At no time did I ever make a direct comparison, nor directly or indirectly condone any of the actions.

But, since you force the issue, and refuse to grow up, let me say....President Elect made in abundantly clear with his words and action exactly how he felt about segments of our country. Not only that, he literally threatened groups of the population.

Racially speaking, the young idealistic people are aware that President Elect Trump was the defendant in the single largest housing discrimination suit ever. They are aware of endorsements by all the white supremacist groups including the KKK.

Hispanics heard what he said during the campaign, not only about illegals but Hispanics in general.

HE must address those things, and HE must realize that words have consequences.

None of these comments or those you chose to twist, in anyway condone anything happening in the streets. By the way, in a number of black neighborhoods there have been multitude of reports of Trump supporters doing things like spray painting cars with slurs, etc., so it is not a ONE way street.

I repeat, why don't we just grow up.

And for the record, I am not a liberal in anyway. You label people quickly, and then define them. That is another Trump trait that I hope he learns is not presidential and must be tempered.

I oppose all demonstrations, always have even those by the Tea Party a few years ago. I do not get much worked up over what is happening right now...I believe it was predictable, NO MATER WHO WON THE ELECTION. You and I both know, had Trump lost, the streets would be filled...it was pretty much part of the mantra the last month of the campaign.

I just wish you, and others did not judge people on skin color, ethnicity, what the believe in, whether they are passionate about something or not.

Let's all grow up and go with those terrible liberals in Washington who are, at least saying all the right things.

I learned something in my 77 years, and that is not to jump to conclusions about a group of people based on anything but what they do and are as people. I grew up in W Pa., and rooted for the Pirates as a youngster and guess I learned from the Pirates of the 50's when we began in the spring thinking they actually could play baseball, but most years found out, it was a rash judgement.

These young people grew up in a different era, and they are the future..NOT you or I.

I opposed Trump as a true conservative Republican because of his judgement and labeling of groups, along with the hypocrisy of his actions.. I will watch and see if he "grows" over time, and I pray he does.
