Well the first of all the basic problem is that of denying insurers the right to underwrite. As an example you actually have people who will not buy insurance until they get sick. then when they are well enough they drop their coverage. The second problem is the interference of government between doctor and patient as to care and cost. simply stated ACA was designed to fail because its designers wanted a single payer system all along.... so ACA was a devious way of going about it.

A single payer system will degrade as did the VA.

ACA is deeply flawed and we would have been better off to leave insurance the way it had operated and focus on the uninsured finding ways to cover their needs. Now the entire population has been adversely affected.
