It's called self-discipline. They also learn leadership. Something that Obama never had. You do not understand leadership if you think you can lead from behind. They call that FOLLOWING. No offense, but I doubt you would understand if you have never had the privilege of serving our country. The military is probably the best school for teaching adulthood. Of course, there are always those that have inherent personality flaws, that nothing will help except a small injection of lead poisoning by means of a high velocity smokeless powder charge. Examples of these types are currently proving themselves by their handiwork in some of our larger American cities.
