NOT "minorities"...smaller population states. There were no "minorities" back then. And none imagined.
The FAIR way would be every state gets 1 electoral vote. Why does CA get 55, more than the 15 lowest population states? Their peoples' votes are diluted 15:1 It takes all 15 states banding together and they still can't beat one state. It should be state for state, not population based. Population based might as well be a straight popular vote.
The EC is there to ensure "the system" the founders set up would continue. Those already running government ensure that they keep running government.
