Me too . One of my closest friends is the Publisher [ same as President and CEO ] of a Daily paper owned by Warren Buffet`s Berkshire-
Hathaway conglomerate .
He keeps me updated on the constant struggle of the entire industry to just stay in business . The average subscribers are age 45+ . Younger people do not subscribe or pay for online content .
The endless decline of readership and the older more conservative nature of their remaining subscribers is a serious business issue .
The insistence of the Editors and writers to spin the news far
Left is of course driving away their subscribing audience . With fewer " eyeballs " on their daily product means few and fewer advertisers and lower advertising rates since they are paying for the number of " eyeballs " .
Thus the Editors are each and every day driving the pace of their own obsolescence .
