Much of my story of my fight for materials in libraries for survivors/victims of crimes involve people putting my sanity in question rather than meeting the actual issue of a niche in information on its merits.
After the stay at Morton Plant Hospital they took me to a very low security facility -- one drug addict climbed over the back wall for instance and the doctor said she could go home if she wanted to so badly when they brought her back -- where I was there for a few days. The attendant told me to shut up with my telling the fellow patients about my experiences fighting the powers that be for putting my mental health in question rather than actually addressing the niche in information. He just told me to take my meds and get along with people so I could get out. Which I did soon after that.
But I would like to know more about what kind of drugs would be prescribed at the hospital as well as at the low security facility?
That was my only real mental health problem. Sixteen and a half years ago. And I did report to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office on September 18, 2002 what happened to put me there. I did get out of the Headquarters of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office after talking to a Criminal Intelligence (Homicide according to another Detective who told me to cool it with the e-mails about how the matter was going). The Detective I spoke to believed me and accepted maybe 106 documents backing up my story. The Detective who phoned me just wanted me to stop with all the damn e-mails to them.
I did have to see a psychiatrist for about 1.5 years after getting out of the low security mental health facility but the person I had would just up my dosage of medicine even if I showed her documents supporting my claims. I tried not taking the drugs to see what would happen and there seemed to be no real effect. I still experienced the same problems with or without the pills.
I hope the Peanut Gallery will keep the personal attacks to a minimum. This is still traumatic for me as someone set me up the weeks before to sound crazy when I related what I had experienced-- gaslighted me-- and this still causes pain to me and my family but we are a lot better.
I am trying to get an idea of the drugs involved in all this? What would be prescribed especially by people that never even talked to me about much of this or if I did mention it they did not believe me or did not care the least.

Tal, so sorry that you had to go through all that. You are not alone, millions have shared your plight. Unfortunately, mental illness is like the 800 pound gorilla in the room that no one talks about. And psychiatry is more like voodoo than medicine.
The other problem is that once a person is "labelled" with a psychiatric diagnosis, they are treated differently by society and the medical profession alike, and most credibility goes out the window. Just think about how your well documented complaints were received.
Could you have been admitted for what sounds like an anxiety disorder and never seen an attending psychiatrist? Probably not, you were drugged and not thinking straight, but it is possible. Half the psychiatrists need therapy themselves, I just think back to which individuals in my medical school class went into psychiatry. There was one "psychiatrist" in my small hometown that impregnated a patient that was homeless and living on the streets. He made Anthony Wiener look like an altar boy.
Back to the drug question--there are A LOT of psych meds and psychiatrists tend to be into polypharmacy. This isn't my specialty, but I'll speculate a bit. In the ER they were likely to use a benzodiazepine anxiolytic such as lorazepam or alprazolam. Given the alleged attack on a nurse, they may have also decided to use a neuroleptic antipsychotic such as haloperidol or prolixin, possibly with Cogentin to minimize anticholinergic side effects. Afterwards, if they assessed the problem to be anxiety related, they probably would continue an oral benzodiazepine, and if I remember correctly, around the year 2000, psychiatrists were in love with Seroquel and trazodone for the longer term.
Lastly, if anyone in the "peanut gallery" launches a personal attack upon you for relating this story, they would be writing out of total ignorance, and could use some psych meds themselves. Hope this helped
