Thanksgiving is almost here. What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for. . .
A job with medical insurance coverage that enables me to pay all of my bills and even have money left over
. Last year at this time I had been laid off from the job I had from my long time employer, and I was sending out resumes and interviewing.
My dad's recovery from the stroke he suffered in December of last year.
My wonderful sisters who spent spent countless hours with my dad after he was discharged from the hospital.
Niece #2 who graduated this past May with a bachelor's degree in nursing, passed her nursing boards in July, then started a job at the end of July as surgical nurse at the University of Wisconsin hospital in Madison.
And in the scheme of things. . . a very small thing to be thankful for. . . the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, especially for my Dad!
