I started out with this Project by writing 4000 or so victim/witness assistance centers all over the United States about what they would like to see in law libraries for victims/survivors of crimes. I do not just accept what law librarians or lawyers tell me are these needs. You ask the people you are trying to help directly and not count on what some academic says are their needs. This took me a few years though. I then used their responses to try to change the hearts and minds of these academics and law librarians and also tried to get Hollywood and the media involved. They can be very creative with how they solve problems like this. Mainly through telling human interest stories.
Best way to help those victims is to issue them weapons and give them instruction on how to use them proficiently. How many CCW victims do you know?
