The difference is Petraeus pled guilty to mishandling classified material and was sentenced to two years probation, fired from his job as director of the CIA, and stripped of a few ranks.
Hillary Clinton was never charged with any crime even after a one year FBI investigation. Can you imagine the outrage if classified documents were found under the floor boards of the attic floor in the Clinton's home like they were at Petraeus' home, and then he lied about them to the FBI?
Another interesting point about Petraeus' probation, he is not allowed to handle any classified material. How can anyone be sec of state without handling classified material?
