Although it is in fact a 'lecture," I actually agree with the sentiment of needed moderation...and have stated such many times.
However, I don't think you've thought it through real well as you would lose a large number of like-minded political allies...that you've come to depend upon.

I am cracking the heck up on this one.
In one breath you say...
"that I try taking the high road is inaccurate. I don't try I have always done so" and then in the next you say...
"knowing I won't strike back below the belt." 
Do you have any idea how you just contradicted yourself, in the same post I might add...and how hypocritical you have just shown yourself to be?
If nothing else, you've now been solely responsible for two belly laughs...in the same day I might add.
