The result was a tremendous exit from the city schools to the suburbs and to private schools. The result was the city schools lost their better students.

While I did vote for TRUMP the proposed charter schools will result in the good students leaving the mass schools.

THE FACT IS, that our STANDARDS for educational achievement have fallen from a peak in 1968.

SOLUTION, unfortunately there is no easy POLITICALLY CORRECT ONE. Our competitors spend half what we do per student and our students are in the lower third in terms of achievement. THERE IS NO QUESTION WE ARE NOT GETTING THE RESULTS WE SHOULD FOR THE MONEY WE SPEND.
