In this case, by the way, the guy never actually fired a shot at anyone. He pointed a rifle at his therapist and told him he wanted him to listen to him. A struggle ensued and the gun accidentally discharged.
He was armed to the teeth and may have had plans to do a mass shooting, but we won't know that until the investigation is completed.
I wonder what was so important that the therapist might have been ignoring? Sounds like another failure of the VA Health System. It's time that we dismantled the VA Health System and just give our veterans Medicare and a free supplemental plan just like those of us over 65.

We do need more education about mental illness and the like. He really does not look mentally ill to me. Which is the same with many of these people who use violence or the threat of violence to express their rage about something or other.
It certainly looks like he planned something more from the article in
The Villages Daily Sun today. They stopped him though.
The mentally ill are usually the victims of crimes and not its perpetrators.
