As for SS#, you can't get any credit report that I'm aware of...without one.
I have a monthly subscription ($19.95) to
myFICO, which includes credit monitoring as well as a monthly score from the three primary reporting agencies (Equifax, TransUnion, Experian).
For the $19.95 I get only the 1-Bureau in-depth FICO Scores (Equifax), but am still monitored from the other two.

For an additional amount, I can also get a monthly in-depth credit score/history from the other two companies... or you can pay $10 more a month and get them every month. I haven't seen the necessity for that, so have stuck with the current $19.95 plan.
Well worth it in my opinion.
