I bought a house in May and am planning to visit it monthly for a few years until I retire (I'm 51 and plan to retire early). I am single and have found people to be friendly and accepting no matter what your marital status. They are willing to judge you for who you are and if you are nice to people and outgoing (make an effort to meet people) you will have no trouble finding new friends who share the same interests. I am looking forward to moving there permanently in a few years
