Trump won, Clinton lost, and those of us who wanted to keep our Medicare will just have to suck it up. The majority rules, except for the popular vote in presidential elections.
Trump voters are delirious about their victory. Hopefully none of them has a preexisting condition.

I'm not nearly as worried about my Medicare as others. Again fear and greed the world' two biggest motivators. Look at the statistics about voters from above. 219 mil eligible voters. Only 136.2 mil voted. Today 41 mil are over 65 yrs old. The group getting ready for Medicare 60-64 yrs old is 17 mil. That would make 58/136.2 or 42.5 % of avg number of people that vote on or near Medicare. I say go ahead to my politicians and screw with Medicare and watch what happens to at election time.
