Yes, it is the law, you are right. Exceeding the speed limit just to get to drive in the left lane is AGAINST the law. Try going the speed limit or just above in the
right lane and observe how many pass you going highway speed. (CR466, Buena Vista, and El Camino Real come to mind)
These are the same drivers who will scream to high heaven when they get pulled over and ticketed, too.
