I will admit to watching BBC World News every morning because I really want to know what is going on in the rest of the world, not just here on our three sub-par cable channels. I used to like Al-Jazera for intelligent international news until someone decided it was a terrorist organization!
Any time you get or find British shows on TV please post that information, and also post how we can find the shows. I saw recently that Julia Roberts is making a mini series for TV, but it will not be on the regular channels and I have no idea how to find that either. I had better start educating myself because most of the stuff on our TVs is mind numbing.

If you get a VPN connected to your computer, use a HDMI cable to your TV and you can watch BBC UK TV live or the Iplayer. When prompted say you have a TV licence.
You have to register for the Independant channels
I use a paid for VPN, but there are free ones.
If you watch the BBC Iplayer catchup, look for David Attenborough's Planet Earth 2.
The whole series is a masterpiece of filming.
