What language do Cubans speak? I realize that the Spanish do not consider other countries able to speak their language, but only an elitist (liberal?) would deny that the Spanish did not once own/occupy Florida. And since those that speak the Spanish language South of the U.S. are of Spanish descent, one can say that they are not only Latino but also Spanish-American. If one does not understand intent of my original post, then perhaps they should not enter the conversation.
On the other hand, I do not disagree with your reply.
