As most of us can remember when the supply was cut off in the 70's. The American people went out and bought vehicle that obtained high mileage. What did our elected officials do. Not a darn thing. We are being held hostage again by our friends in the middle east. Didn't we come to their aid with our military. Look how they have repaid us. Let's start building refineries, drilling where possible, scrap the space program and place all the great minds on coming with a vehicle that is not dependent on fossil fuel. We can then tell the Arab world to keep their oil and fight their own battles.
