ICYMI: All of the senate committees investigating the Russia hacking are chaired by republicans, with a republican majority in each one. This investigation will take up a good part of Trump's first year in office.
If the committees decide that more sanctions against Russia are in order, and Trump vetoes it, that veto could presumably be overridden, probably not the way Trump wants to start his tenure.
After one hearing, the Senate Armed Services Committee, the verdict was unanimous and bi-partisan that Russia was guilty. The Senate Special Intelligence Committee will hold their hearing next week.
