You want to put your phone numbers on the DO NOT CALL LIST-very easy to do ON LINE.
Then, many people do not bother to do it so it goes on. You want to report any call from solicitors that you get. A complaint cost the caller $100 each time.
Surveys are not covered on the do not call list. That is the reason why you may get alls we are doing a survey of people who have a water softener. You reply we do not have a ....... water softener. Now they haqve a qualified lead of people who live in the villages and do not have a water softener.
We all get these calls at diner time when they know you will likely be home. I usually just let my phone system answer the call. IF, IT IS SOMEONE I WANT TO TALK TO THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE. IF, IT IS SOMEONE SELLING STUFF THEY DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE AND HAVE A BLOCKED NUMBER. If, I stupidly pick up and get one of these surveys I tell them I will not give out any personal information. First question is usually is this MR....
