This began in the primaries.
Trump had his minions chanting about the media. If someone did not agree with him (no lies, just opinion as he has if everyone) he said they were "unfair". He cut them off if he didn't agree with some opinion. He lied about camera positions at his rallies. He demeaned the media, and still does, in my opinion to keep his supporters from trusting anyone but him.
I also submit, it is not close to tit for tat. He has reached the point with lies and accusations and using every ploy to deflect, etc nobody will trust him. Come on, his own biographers totally distrust the man.
To even suggest that he was not simply he recepient of pres coverage, or that he was greatly unfairly is just not true.
Media reports what he says or dies, if he doesn't like it, then it is unfair and/or a lie.
