Try resetting your modem, pull the power plug wait at least 30 seconds, that plug back in. After 60 seconds or so your phone should be working again. I have found that when ever I am having problems with either the X1 system (my main TV) or the phones, the first thing I do is try resetting the modem, about 75% of the time or more this fixes the problem, and I do not have to deal with Comcast!!!!
