Batteries are not batteries- its whats on the inside that counts. Some are not built as well as others. There is a reason the batteries are cheaper.
No need to use baking soda....straight water to clean the tops off every month.
Not running your batteries down to dead is important. The problem here in the villages is, the batteries get run down below the recommended depth of charge. The cart will run perfectly normal at this level, so people just keep going. Wounds the battery set. There is more than just putting water in and charging them up. Proper care of the rest of the cart is just as important to making a set of batteries last long.
