In my personal opinion the tragic death of an Orlando cop dove tails into the kerfuffle going on between congressman over the painting in a congressional building hallway. This particular painting exhibited in a hallway on behalf of a high school student depicts a pig dressed as a cop. The picture's theme in its entirety is about police bias and killing of blacks.

Republican Congressman take the picture down and Democrat Congressman put it back up claiming "free speech" Clay (D) makes that specific claim but has in the past demanded that all things confederate be removed (statutes flags, etc) apparently he is offended by the mere mention of the Confederacy

The Civil War is part of our history. Confederate soldiers were considered America veterans and qualified for veterans benefits.

Clay's position of free speech then goes to the question of does he believe cops are really racially biased. If so then is it why he wants that painting to remain on the hallway wall?
