Actually I would prefer a president elect be sworn in make a speech after taking the oath and retire to his/her private quarters to relax and be ready to begin the first day of work running. I avoid glitz and the mutual admiration society of hypocrites fawning over one another whether its Washington or Hollywood. Events such as this are always financed by other peoples money. I'm a guy who learned and loved to work but never cared to play. I am happiest when I am productive.
