I think it is a bit disingenuous to make a blanket statement about Trumps intentions or lack of action when he has not yet been sworn in. "Backed off" simply means putting something aside for a better or more opportune time. He is doing more of what he promised than any other president before him. Before criticizing him for what he has not done YET, you might want to wait until he is really in office. Then give him time to learn how the phone system works in the White House. Obama certainly took his time learning how it operated. A little dig in at the end
