Lots of generals and Commanders had to retire for reasons of responsibility. As for as the weekend warriors Why should they be held any differently? You don't make friends by ****ing off your boss where ever your in the chain of command. I seen changes in the military around 80's. Different mind set on orders. Too many why do I have to do that? Or why do I have to work this weekend 5 months in row. All questions I thought of but knew the answer. Majority join volunteer force for their gain like education IMO very few actually join for the honor of service IMO. Without these perks Volunteer force would be non existence. Price taxpayers paid for volunteer force. Remember that next time the non participating complain about taxes and military. Different world if your getting shot at and taking shots from both sides of the fence.
