Let me help you out here.

That 47% you speak of, doesn't pay 'personal income tax'...but they certainly pay taxes.

IN FACT, they pay a MUCH HIGHER PERCENTAGE of their income to taxes, both federal and state through payroll/Social Security/gas/sales/etc./etc.)...than you probably do.
