The Roman Empire failed do to parasitic city people in Rome trying to vote themselves the lives and property of everyone else. Detroit is a good example as well.

Diversity and being packed together. We are social, herding animals...but as with rats...too many in close proximity leads to violence and chaos. Having the cities filled with subhuman, violent, cretans doesn't help. We have animals living in inner city zoos.
Yes...as the empire grew..."minorities" became the majority and that led to it's destruction.
