Anchor babies are not illegal immigrants. They are US citizens. This is something that I feel needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The Supreme Court needs to interpret the 14th amendment to define it's original intent. It was never intended to grant birthright citizenship. It's purpose was to insure that freed slaves that were born in this country has the same full rights as whites.

It's probably impossible to amend the constitution or repeal and amendment in these days so I would like to see someone bring a cast to the court for proper interpretation. That would go a long way to solving the problem of illegal immigration.

I've never seen anything to dispute the 11 million number and counting US born citizens as illegals and saying that they are a majority of people under age seven is still a long way from 110 million people. The number was 11.1 million in 2014. So if you have something that shows a different numb er, I'd like to see it.

Additionally, a large percentage of those illegal immigrants are people that came here on a legal ten year visa and simply have not filed the paperwork to renew their stay. The problem with many of them is that the government does not notify them when their visa expires so many just forget. The other issue is that some of them have moved and we don't know where to find them. This really shouldn't be a problem as they almost all have a social security number and file tax returns. What we need is for federal agencies to work together. ICE should be able to give a list of SSNs to the SS administration of people who have over stayed their visa. When SSA receives the tax returns of these people they should be able to report their whereabouts to ICE. That way, ICE can track them down and deal with them appropriately.

The federal government is a giant mess and too many regulations prevent agencies from doing their jobs properly. Homeland Security was supposed to solve that problem, but evidently it's not working. Hopefully, with this new administration things will be better.
