Children at that age are extremely impressionable. They watch these things on tv and think that they want to be famous like them. One even mentioned Columbine.
I believe that no mass shooter should have his name or face revealed. You are giving them exactly what they want. Don't Do It !! Report that there has been another senseless school shooting by deranged student. Even throw in loser wouldn't hurt.

This will never work as the living ones would need to face their accusers as outlined in the State and US Constitutions. More "loser" name calling might work better than and a heavier teaching of the very real consequences of violence especially gun violence. There is way too much use of blood and guts as entertainment.
