I did not say that the federal law should not be enforced against illegal use of marijuana. it should and I believe marijuana is harmful. However what I said is that the comparisons you use are not of equivalent value.
the shielding of illegals committing crimes is plain insanity and there is no rationale to justify such protections by any governmental official.

You are now claiming that an illegal who murders an American or commits other crimes against property or persons while living in a sanctuary city will not be prosecuted? They may not be turned over to ICE but they certainly will be prosecuted for crimes .
