This is a very common switch found in The Villages. I always recommend that every A/C Air handler have one of these, (there are different brands) installed. If the condensate drain backs up the unit will not run, saving you from water damage. This is why folks need to keep the drain clean by blowing it out or pouring hot water down it a few times a year. Also having the A/C unit serviced annually will help prevent this. Sorry for you having this situation...hope this helps!
