I have been told that the developer has volunteered to build a post office within The Villages and has been turned down numerous times by the United States post office. The reason is they do not have the money to staff the new post office. Even though the developer was willing to build the building and donate the land. Unfortunately the post office is a dying service that unless something changes will eventually go away!
