I interviewed at a African-American Law School Library -- North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC-- around December 6, 1994. There were a few people whom others would call Caucasian then there were a large number of different shades of people I would have had a hard time identifying as far as which race they actually were. It often depends on what these people identify themselves to be as far as what culture/society they immerse themselves in.

I did not get the job because of some dirty tricks done by a mainly white group of very powerful law librarians.
