Having a tough time of it, Rocky? Why are you asking such a ludicrous question? You know that Progressives are usually liberals, also known as Libtards. Most are Democrats, but there are plenty of so-called Republicans (RINOS) like you that are also progressives, or libtards. Basically, he is using the word as typical of attempting civil discourse. SO, are you questioning his discussion regarding the subject or just trying to bait him into diverting AWAY from the subject?
