Why is we no longer are able to describe people in our society as wholesome? Wholesome use to be what people strived for. To be described as wholesome was a real compliment.
Think back as how the body was considered the vessel that carried the soul and it should be looked after with great care. Think back about the habits and manner of people we referred to as wholesome. They were polite, gracious, spoke well, avoided expletives and had well practiced reticence. They respected the law, respected the rules, and engaged in civil discourse .
Today we live in what I term the Kardashian nation. Some of it evident in Political Talk threads on this Board What a contrast in lifestyles from then and now.

You don't hear about it because the NEW majority doesn't practice it. Whites are the ones who practice "wholesomeness", minorities do not. Minorities are the new majority. "Wholesomeness" started going away in the 60s as they began to grow in numbers.
Wholesomeness is a WHITE thing.
What is seen as wholesome? White Americans and white northern europeans. Because that IS what is wholesome. Is MLK Blvd wholesome? Is the Barrio? WAS the villages before it became a city and began to "diversify" in thought? As the villages liberalized...it lost its wholesomeness. Thanks ladies...you ruined another one...time to move on with your "causes" and destroy another "white man built paradise".
