Were there public benefits? Sure...but corporations made a killing too. Clean water? Construction benefits. Rural power? Electrical corporations, the maker of the poles, the wire, the transformers...ALL made a LOT of money...at taxpayer expense. $100,000 worth of stuff to reach one farmhouse. FDIC insurance...banks prosper from that, no liability, brings in more customers, formerly too wary and distrustful.

They TELL you it's "for the children" because you can't resist...WHO would hurt CHILDREN?!? And then they make a lot of money implementing it. Hurting everyone but a select few...
