What about those who have lost their insurance because of Obamacare because they can no longer afford to pay the premiums and deductibles? Do they not count for anything?
Why are people complaining that he is trying to keep his promises? That is a first for any President. These are the same people who would complain if he wasn't.
Keep in mind, to date no one, no one, has lost their Obamacare. They won't until it is replaced. This is a process! Processes take time. That's why it is called a process. They will work on it until they do get it right.
People complain that this is no different than Obamacare, just tweaked. He promised that he would see to it that those with pre-existing conditions would be able to be insured. He promised to write in the good things about the Obamacare plan and discard the bad ones. People are being apprised along the way of what it is to be, much unlike "pass it to see what's in it". This is not going to be the "Wham bam, thank you mam", that Obamacare was when passed.
He gets slammed for his remarks about the press being biased. Today was just an example. One person who is working on the new plan was being interviewed and was explaining what they are working on. The media guy (Fox, by the way) said something about the work continuing behind closed doors. He was immediately corrected to "open doors" by the guy.
As for those who say it was going to be replaced from Day One; Day One was the first step, not the final plan.
One of the best things, thus far, is not penalizing employers for not carrying insurance or individuals who do not take insurance they cannot afford.
