Judgmental, are we? Plenty of people are/were on Obamacare one way or the other. Not all are the ones described in your rant. Remember "if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance"? That did not happen and they were forced to accept other insurance under Obamacare or pay a fine if they could not afford it, choosing to become uninsured instead. Between the premiums and the deductibles, they were better off without it. They could pay the fine and bank the money they would have paid the insurers, and pay totally out of pocket. That's what their deductibles, never mind the premiums, would cost them anyway since its inception.
As for your last statement, be thankful that you have that million dollars to pay for your own operations, should there come a time you need one. Just because people require an operation to live, does not mean they become totally useless as you infer.
