Your desire to appeal to Europe is like a kid trying to get the bullies to pay more attention to him.

For example, the only reason there's so many refugees getting into Europe is that Gaddafi is gone.
He was being paid by Europe to "stop" the refugee flow at Libya's southern border.
If we were to espouse European values, we would pay President Nieto to shoot everyone trying to cross Mexico's southern border.
It would improve Mexico's economy, impoverished Mexicans would have work, and all our immigrant problems would go away.
