I do handyman work here in The Villages, but I do not do plumbing or electrical (I'm not licensed in either of those trades). I would highly recommend hiring a plumber (an easy google search for this area will produce results). There will be some who say that any handyman can replace the valve. That much is true, but whoever does this work for you better be insured (in case he/she causes a leak). The Accor fittings are removed by rotating them counter-clock wise. They are similar to SharkBite fittings, however SharkBite's have a release mechanism. The other important this to keep in mind that whoever removes the push/pull valve needs to make sure they can get somewhat of a grip on the remaining exposed pipe to minimize twisting inside the wall (the portion you can't see behind the drywall). Point being is to make sure there are no leaks caused by rough handling of the pipe.
