When our daughter was in high school and we attended the first play she was in I covered my eyes and dropped my head. Friends sitting near us patted me gently and whispered, "It must be emotional to see your daughter perform". I whispered back. "It isn't that. I see at least ten of my carefully preserved wedding gifts on stage".
