a re-read of the comments on this thread indicates we are all primarily talking about two things. 1) happiness 2) immigration issues.

While it is true a repressive government can cause you misery, I do not believe a government can make you happy.

a government can be repressive in many ways. We view our nation accords us more freedoms than other nations. however the ugly truth is that through regulations, Supreme Court decisions, etc this nation has greatly curtailed our freedoms. its all a game played both both sides to control the masses
