The really sad thing that that both sides do it. That take quotes that are favorable to their side an use them to in an attempt to bolster their argument. And they take quotes that are possibly unfavorable to the opposition and misuse them to knock down their argument.

The Russian government attempted to influence an election in the United States.
THIS IS A FACT
This fact verified by all 17 units of the US intelligence community, PLUS other allies throughout the world.
Very serious thus congress began an investigation into that.
Part of that investigation involved asking HOW, WHY, and was anyone in USA involved.
During that investigation, the President of the United States made a claim that he was phone tapped by Past President Obama, and
HE, the President asked that comm to add to their charge to look into wiretapping of him or his campaign by Barrack Obama.
The investigation found thus far that the attempt took place, and that the influence was to hurt Clinton to insure. Victory for whomever she ran against. That was the original intent of the Russians, As things progressed and Trump became the candidate, there seemingly was much contact between the Trump campaign and Russian organizations known to be fronts. And of course since that is where this investigation took them they continues.
The hearing last week...
1. Assured us that the Russians did make the attempt in concert with Wiki leaks. It was discussed HOW they did it, much of the timin, etc.
2. Explanations given as to the many faceted things that must occur to have anyone wiretapped, and statement that nobody has any information to President Obama being involved in any wiretapping. Sine the President publicly to international media accused Britain of helping Obama, that was investigated and shown false. This was added if you recall at the request of the President.
3. It was revealed that there is an investigation into whether any collusion between Trump campaign and Russia. That investigation is still on going.
So, I am not sure what you folks are saying. Do not get caught up in defending if there is nothing to defend.
I am also struck by the total silence if all good patriots with a foreign country getting involved in our electoral process.
You would expect that no matter your political leanings, that would be a primary source of anger and wanting an investigation, but seems not so much
PS: keep in mind, there is no onus on anyone to prove Obama DID anything. The onus is to find out if Trump's unfounded (by him) accusation of a felony committed by Obama took place.
